As we close out the last day of the thanksgiving month, Atlanta deputies and movers have given a 103-year-old woman and her 83-year-old daughter one of the biggest miracles of all. No eviction before Christmas.
A 103-year-old woman facing foreclosure from her home will not be forced to leave the dwelling she has lived in for the past 53 years.
“We will work out a resolution to keep them in the home,” Thomas Kelly, a spokesman for the bank, said in an emailed statement.
“That’s a blessing,” Hall told Channel 2 Action News.
There were plans to evict the women Tuesday, but the movers and Fulton County sheriff’s deputies sent to the home did not remove them, Channel 2 reported.
For my Atlanta family, the next time you curse out a police officer for giving you a speeding or parking ticket, think about the policemen who saved two elderly women from a bitter winter out on the streets!
Looks like Santa is dressing up as giant police officers with gentle hearts these days! Fortunately, Ms. Vinia Hall was on the nice list this year.
